What distinguishes men and women from animals is their spiritual need for ultimate purpose in life: to know their Creator.
Although the Bible is an ancient book it still speaks to us today. God wrote the Bible so humanity would have instructions for successful living. Since the Bible was written by humanity's Creator, it includes timeless principles for solving many of humanity's most perplexing problems. Although the Bible addresses issues relating to our physical and emotional needs, its primary focus is on mankind's spiritual need.
"Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)
The Bible answers many of life's difficult questions. It speaks with authority about human experience and problems in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Since the Bible is the eternal, unchanging and perfect Word of God, it is the only reliable authority for our faith (what we believe) and our practice (what we do).
We live in a time when families are disintegrating. Many things in our lives, in society and our personal outlook contribute to this dilemma. In the fast pace of modern life, few people take time to think about God. Many choose to neglect His role and importance in their lives. But it's not hopeless.

A typical service at Venersborg Church includes worship through prayer and singing, and an instructional message from the Bible. Our pastor leads worship using a guitar and our songs include both traditional hymns and more contemporary sacred music. We are a casual congregation. We invite you to come just as you are.
